Studying and teaching the language of the hand
I have been studying hands intensively for 15 years, but I have been interested in traditional and Indigenous knowledge systems for all of my adult life. My academic background is in the History and Philosophy of Science and Medicine, and I've written books and journal articles looking at traditional wisdom through a modern scientific lens.
More recently, I have been giving regular talks that translate ancient knowledge into the language of science for modern people. These two recent talks below explore what the fingerprints reveal about embryonic development and personality types, and how the structure and tissues of the hand tell us about endocrine function.
